    About Maria G. Soler

    As a therapist, I work from a psychodynamic and attachment-based perspective. I believe that it is important to understand the impact of your past, but only if that helps to heal and to bring change in the present. I strive to provide a warm and safe environment where you can feel seen, heard, and understood.

    I am certified in both EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) and the Gottman Couples Method, the only bilingual one in Atlanta. I am also a trained EMDR therapist and a certified Prepare/Enrich Premarital Counselor. I have extensive training and broad experience in personality disorders, eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, LGBTQ+ issues, self-esteem, migration and transitions, multicultural issues, and group therapy.

    I am sensitive to and affirming of diverse experiences of race and ethnicity, gender, sexuality, ability, religion, nationality, and social class. In addition to my work as a therapist, I have broad experience in the corporate world. I worked for many years in different leadership roles in Human Resources and Market Research, leading local and global teams in Fortune 100 companies.

    I am originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I graduated as a Psychotherapist more than three decades ago. I have lived in the United States for twenty years, and I got my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy in Atlanta, Georgia.

    I am fully bilingual and offer telehealth therapy in both English and Spanish in Connecticut, Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina.
